Koderma: Acting on confidential intelligence provided to the Superintendent of Police in Koderma District, a dedicated special operations team, spearheaded by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, successfully carried out a significant operation in the Tilaiya police station jurisdiction. During this operation, four individuals were apprehended for their involvement in an organized cybercrime racket. These individuals were engaged in a sophisticated online scam, where they manipulated and blackmailed unsuspecting victims by falsely promising escort services. Once the victims were lured in, the perpetrators exploited their vulnerability, demanding large sums of money under threat or coercion.
Upon their arrest, law enforcement officials recovered crucial evidence linking the suspects to their cyber fraud activities. The seized items included four mobile phones and seven SIM cards, which were likely used to facilitate the fraudulent schemes. Additionally, various other documents, possibly containing personal details of their victims, transaction records, and technical tools used for their cybercrimes, were confiscated during the raid. These materials are expected to play a vital role in unraveling the extent of the cybercriminals’ operations and aiding in further investigations into the broader network of online scams they were operating.
