The accused had been evading law enforcement authorities for some time and had a bounty of Rs.10,000 placed on his head. Acting on intelligence, the police launched a meticulous operation leading to his capture. During the arrest, officers recovered the jewellery that had been looted during the robbery, further solidifying the case against the accused.
