Palnadu: On October 6, 2024, four pilgrims from Narsaraopeta in Palnadu district visited Chirala Vodarevu beach for an outing. Suddenly, a 44-year-old member of the group was swept into the sea by high tides. The police, along with swimmers who noticed the incident, acted swiftly, entering the sea to rescue the individual. After providing first aid, the police handed him over to his relatives. DGP Mr. Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, IPS, commended the Bapatla Police for their prompt action in saving the man’s life.
