Bilaspur: Bilaspur Police is conducting various programs across the district as part of the “Cyber Jan” Awareness Fortnight (05/10/2024 to 19/10/2024) to combat the rising threat of cybercrimes. Under the guidance of Bilaspur Superintendent of Police, Mr. Rajnesh Singh (IPS), station in-charges and the Anti-Cyber Crime Unit (ACCU) officials are leading awareness campaigns throughout the city to educate the public on cybercrime prevention. The police utilized Navratri Garba and Jagrata events to spread awareness about cyber security, with Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kashyap sharing tips on avoiding cybercrimes during a Garba Dandiya competition. Late-night cyber awareness campaigns were held at various Durga Pandals in the city, reaching more people and informing them about safe online practices, phishing scams, banking fraud prevention, and the importance of strong passwords. The police urged local communities to actively participate in building a robust defense against cybercrime.
