The Central Bureau of Investigation is profoundly saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. P.C. Sharma, former Director of the CBI. The CBI extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his grieving family and prays for the Almighty to grant them the strength and resilience to endure this profound loss.
Mr. Praveen Sood, Director of the CBI, stated, “The heartfelt condolences of the entire CBI family are with the bereaved family during this time of deep sorrow. May Mr. P.C. Sharma’s soul rest in peace.”
Mr. P.C. Sharma was an IPS officer from the 1966 batch, serving in the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He held the position of CBI Director from April 30, 2001, to December 6, 2003, and previously served in various roles within the CBI, including SP, DIG, Joint Director, Additional Director, and Special Director.
He will be remembered for his exceptional service to the CBI over a span of 21 years.
