Karnataka, Bengaluru City: Officials from VV Puram Police Station have arrested a man on charges of making fake bomb threats and sending threatening emails to various schools and colleges across the city. The accused had been using laptops and mobile phones to carry out these malicious acts, instilling fear and disrupting normal functioning in educational institutions. Acting swiftly on the complaints, the police were able to trace the calls and emails back to the individual and seized the electronic devices used in the operation. This arrest comes after a series of threatening incidents that caused panic among students, staff, and parents.
Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that the accused is linked to at least 10 similar cases registered in different police stations across Bengaluru. These fake bomb threats triggered multiple emergency responses, leading to temporary closures of schools and colleges, as well as significant police deployment to ensure public safety. The arrest marks a critical step in putting an end to these disruptive activities, and the police have intensified efforts to investigate any further connections the accused may have had with others involved in similar crimes.
