Uttarakhand, Dehradun: In Dehradun, a dramatic encounter unfolded during a routine police check at Premnagar T State, where law enforcement officials came face-to-face with a criminal. The incident led to an exchange of gunfire, during which the accused, Anubhav Tripathi, a 23-year-old man from Sanema Road, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg. Tripathi, the son of Sudesh Tripathi, was apprehended at the scene following the injury.
During the operation, police recovered a .315 bore country-made pistol, which the accused was carrying at the time of the encounter. The confrontation created a tense atmosphere as law enforcement worked swiftly to contain the situation. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun was personally present at the scene, overseeing the entire operation and ensuring that the criminal was taken into custody without further incident.
