Jharkhand, Khunti: In preparation for the upcoming Assembly Elections-2024, a meeting was held on October 23, 2024, in the auditorium of the Superintendent of Police Office. The meeting, chaired by Shri Anoop Birthare, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Eastern Region, Ranchi, was attended by the Superintendent of Police, Khunti, along with the Sub-Divisional Police Officers of Khunti and Torpa, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Chief), Khunti, Police Inspectors, and all police station in-charges.
During the meeting, Shri Anoop Birthare, IPS, directed the officers to execute pending warrants, including attachment, non-bailable, and permanent warrants, and to take preventive action against criminals. He emphasized the need to verify and collect licensed arms, seize illegal liquor, narcotics, cash, and address illegal mining activities. The officers were also instructed to carry out intensive campaigns to arrest active criminals and Naxalites, conduct continuous ROP (Road Opening Parties) and area domination in their respective regions, and enforce strict actions at checkpoints on inter-district borders. Additionally, he urged the identification of sensitive areas and individuals and the necessary legal actions. Provisions for accommodation, transport, and other basic facilities for CAPF, external forces, and home guards deployed during the elections were also discussed. The officials were given detailed guidelines to ensure compliance with these directives.
