Uttarakhand, Udham Singh Nagar: As part of the ongoing campaign initiated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to transform the state into a “Drug-Free Devbhoomi” by the year 2025, the Udham Singh Nagar District Police have intensified their crackdown on drug smuggling activities. In a significant operation, law enforcement officials apprehended three individuals involved in narcotics trafficking—two women and one man—who were found in possession of a substantial quantity of illegal ganja. Upon their arrest, the police seized a total of 7.703 kg of ganja; underscore the district’s commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes. This operation forms part of the broader effort to eliminate the drug menace from Uttarakhand, in line with the state government’s vision of creating a safer, drug-free environment for its citizens. The police, under the guidance of senior officials, are taking decisive steps in collaboration with multiple agencies to bring drug traffickers to justice and ensure strict enforcement of anti-narcotics laws.
