Kerala, Kasaragod: Sajitha Rai (27), a resident of Sheni in Kasaragod, who had been on the run in connection with 11 fraud cases across Badiyatukka, Kumbala, Manjeswaram, Adur, and Melparamba police station jurisdictions, as well as in Karnataka, has been arrested. The accused faces six cases in Badiyatukka, and one case each in Kumbala, Manjeswaram, Melparamba, and Adur police stations, along with an additional case in Karnataka, alongside numerous other complaints. Sajitha is accused of swindling crores of rupees from various individuals by falsely promising employment in central and state government institutions across Karnataka and Kerala. Given the gravity of the offenses, a special team led by Kasargod DYSP Sunil Kumar CK and Vidyanagar Inspector VIPN UP, under the guidance of District Police Chief Shilpa DIPS, apprehended the accused today.
