Manipur, Imphal: On October 24, 2024, the Manipur Police and the State Bank of India (SBI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a Police Salary Package, representing a significant advancement in providing enhanced financial services to police personnel in the state. The signing ceremony occurred at the office of the Director General of Police, Manipur. Shri Konsam Jayanta, Inspector General of Police (Administration), represented the Manipur Police, while Shri Khumukcham Okendra Singh, Regional Manager of SBI’s Regional Business Office in Imphal, signed on behalf of SBI. The event was attended by Shri Rajiv Singh, Director General of Police, Manipur, along with other senior police officials and SBI representatives. This agreement is designed to offer various benefits to police personnel, including special salary packages, comprehensive insurance coverage (with personal accident death insurance up to Rs.1 crore and additional coverage of up to Rs.10 lakhs, among other perks), as well as benefits for their family members, thereby further enhancing the collaboration between the police department and SBI.
