Mizoram, Aizawl: In a heartfelt tribute to the valor and dedication of law enforcement, the Aizawl District Executive Force (DEF) organized a remarkable event known as the ‘UNITY RUN’ this morning, commemorating Police Commemoration Day and Police Flag Day 2024. This significant occasion was aimed at honoring the brave police personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the community, embodying the highest ideals of courage and commitment.
The event commenced with an inspiring flag-off ceremony, led by Inspector General of Police (Armed/Training), Mr. Dheeraj Kumar IPS, who initiated the run from Sikulpuikawn. Simultaneously, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Northern Region), Mr. H. Ramthlengliana IPS, marked the beginning of the run from the Millennium Centre. The participation of community members, local organizations, and police personnel underscored a shared commitment to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have served selflessly in the face of danger.
As runners traversed the route, the atmosphere was charged with a sense of unity and purpose, reflecting the community’s collective respect for the sacrifices made by the police force.
