Uttarakhand, Uttarkashi: To uphold law and order and enforce Section 163 BNSS (formerly Section 144 CrPC) imposed by the District Administration, the Uttarkashi Police conducted a flag march on foot and by vehicle at Uttarkashi Headquarters on October 25, 2024. Led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi Shri Prashant Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Roorkee Shri Narendra Pant, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Dalanwala Shri Ashish Bhardwaj, and under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi, Mr. Amit Srivastava, police officers and personnel marched on foot through areas including Uttarkashi Kotwali, Vishwanath Chowk, Court Road, Hanuman Chowk, Main Bazaar, Petrol Pump, Sabzi Mandi, and Bhairo Chowk. They also conducted a vehicle march through Uttarkashi Bazaar, Tekhla Bypass, Vikas Bhawan, Joshiada, and Gyansoo. The public was urged to cooperate with police efforts to maintain order, adhere to Section 163 BNSS regulations, refrain from making inflammatory statements, avoid spreading misinformation on social media, and not gather in groups of five or more. Additionally, the public was informed that markets are fully open with no restrictions on shops.
