Chhattisgarh, Balodabazar- Bhatapara: Within 48 hours of discovering the body of a transgender individual in an abandoned stone quarry, the police apprehended five suspects, including Mohammad Imran Bhoir, by acting swiftly on the initial report. The investigation revealed that the crime was a premeditated act carried out by the accused as part of a ritual sacrifice, intended to fulfill a belief that it would secure their ascension to the position of monastery chief. During the operation, the police confiscated substantial evidence, including Rs.10.50 lakh in cash, a car, and a motorcycle, all of which were in the possession of the suspects. The prompt action and meticulous investigation underscored the police’s commitment to delivering justice in this grave case.
