Chhatisgarh, Surajpur: Surajpur Police Launch Major Crackdown on Gambling, Arrests 9 Inter-State Gamblers and Confiscates Property Worth Lakhs.
In a significant move against illegal gambling and betting, the Surajpur Police have intensified their operations to curb such unlawful activities in the region. As part of their ongoing efforts, a meticulously planned raid was carried out in a secluded forest area, leading to the arrest of nine inter-state gamblers who were found engaging in gambling activities.
The operation resulted in the seizure of substantial assets, including a car, multiple two-wheelers, and several mobile phones. Additionally, the police confiscated cash totaling Rs.6.32 lakh, believed to be the proceeds of gambling.
