A 49-year-old man was arrested by the Madukkarai police for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl from Thoppampalayam. According to police, the accused, a relative of the girl, allegedly raped her when her parents were away from home for work. On their return, the parents found the girl ill and took her to a Government hospital. The accused was arrested based on a complaint filed by the girl’s father.
