Chhattisgarh, Gariaband: In a major success for security forces, 16 Naxalites have been killed in an intense and ongoing encounter deep within the forested region of Bhaludighi hill (Kulhadighat), located within the boundaries of Mainpur police station in Gariaband district. The confrontation, which erupted in the heart of the dense forest, has led to the recovery of the bodies of all 16 Naxalites so far. In addition to the bodies, the security forces have recovered a significant stockpile of weaponry and explosives from the encounter site.
