Uttarakhand, Almora: Shri Devendra Pincha, Senior Superintendent of Police, Almora, has directed the concerned authorities to regularly review the arrangements and ensure special attention is given to the residential facilities provided to police personnel. This initiative aims to enhance the living conditions of officers and employees by addressing any shortcomings in a timely manner.
In line with these directives, on 16.02.2025, CO Almora, Shri Gopal Dutt Joshi, conducted a thorough inspection of the residential buildings designated for officers and employees at Police Line Almora. During his visit, he systematically examined all residential buildings and premises categorized under Type I, Type II, and Type III housing. His inspection focused on evaluating the availability and functionality of basic amenities essential for the well-being of the residents.
As part of the assessment, Shri Gopal Dutt Joshi personally engaged with members of the police families residing within the complex to understand their concerns and gather firsthand information regarding any issues they were facing. The grievances and problems highlighted by the residents were duly noted, and immediate steps were taken to address them.
In response, the Inspector of Police Line Almora was explicitly instructed to resolve these issues at the earliest to ensure a better living environment for the personnel and their families. Furthermore, recognizing the need for structural maintenance, the Inspector was directed to prepare and submit a detailed proposal to the headquarters for the timely renovation and upkeep of buildings that were found to be in a dilapidated condition.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of key officials, including Inspector of Police Line Almora Shri Vijay Vikram, Line Subedar Shri Mohit Kumar, Additional Sub-Inspector Shri Damodar Kapri, and Line Major Shri Ajay Mishra. Their participation underscored the department’s commitment to improving residential facilities and ensuring a comfortable living space for police personnel and their families.
