Punjab, Ferozepur: In a significant breakthrough, Counter Intelligence, Ferozepur, has arrested Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh — two key operatives of a terror module allegedly operated by Germany-based Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon. Dhillon is believed to be a close associate of the Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The arrests have dealt a major blow to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which is suspected of orchestrating plans to disrupt peace and stability in Punjab.
During the operation, security forces recovered a 2.8 kg improvised explosive device (IED), which included 1.6 kg of RDX and was equipped with a remote control. Preliminary investigations suggest that the IED was intended for a targeted terrorist attack.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for any information leading to the capture of Goldy Dhillon. A case has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act at Police Station SSOC, Mohali.
The Punjab Police reaffirmed its commitment to combating transnational terrorism and dismantling organized crime networks backed by Pakistan’s ISI, ensuring peace and security in the region.
