A 53-year-old woman pedestrian was killed when an auto rickshaw knocked her down in Ulsoor on Monday night. The deceased, Rebeka Devdas, a resident of Jogupalya, worked as a housekeeper at a church near Trinity Circle. She was on her way to work and was crossing the median when the auto rickshaw, suspected to be speeding, hit her. Passers-by rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died. The police have registered a case. In another incident, a 35-year-old driver was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed it into a parked truck on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday. The deceased is Venkateshappa. The Nelamangala police have taken up a case.
