Bihar, Patna, April 29, 2025: In a focused effort to strengthen cybercrime prevention and investigation across the state, Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Vinay Kumar chaired a high-level review meeting with all Deputy Superintendents of Police-cum-Station House Officers (DSPs/SHOs) of Bihar’s Cyber Police Stations.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU), Bihar, Patna, and witnessed the participation of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Shri Nayyer Hasnain Khan, along with other senior police officials.
The agenda of the meeting included evaluating the performance of cyber police stations, reviewing case disposal rates, and discussing strategies for enhancing the technical capabilities of cyber units across the state. Emphasis was placed on improving coordination, ensuring timely registration and investigation of cybercrimes, and enhancing public awareness regarding digital fraud and online safety.
DGP Vinay Kumar underscored the importance of proactive policing, data-driven investigation techniques, and capacity-building to combat the evolving threats in the digital space. Officers were directed to adopt a victim-centric approach and ensure swift action against cyber offenders.
This meeting reflects Bihar Police’s continued commitment to building a secure digital environment and strengthening cybercrime enforcement mechanisms through leadership, innovation, and inter-departmental collaboration.
