Andhra Pradesh, Prakasam: Superintendent of Police, Sri A.R. Damodar, IPS, personally inspected the security arrangements at key NEET-2025 examination centers across the district to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for candidates. The exam was conducted under the supervision of the National Testing Agency (NTA) at five designated centers, including DRRM Degree College, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Government Polytechnic College, and Damacharla Sakkubayamma Government Degree College.
A total of 1,473 students were scheduled to appear for the NEET examination in Prakasam district. To ensure its smooth conduct, strong police deployment was arranged at all centers. The SP visited several centers—DRRM, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, and Kendriya Vidyalaya—and personally supervised the security arrangements.
During his visit, the SP issued clear instructions to all police personnel on duty, emphasizing strict adherence to examination protocols. He instructed staff to prohibit the entry of mobile phones, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and other electronic gadgets inside the exam halls. He also stressed the importance of thorough frisking of every candidate and strict ID verification to prevent the entry of any unauthorized individuals.
Section 144 was enforced around the examination centers to prevent gatherings and ensure an undisturbed environment. Photocopy shops and internet centers in the vicinity were closed in advance. In addition, drone surveillance was deployed around each examination center to monitor any unusual activity.
The SP confirmed that answer sheets were secured and transferred to strong rooms under tight security after the examination. He assured that the police department has taken comprehensive measures to ensure the exam is conducted without any disruption.
“NEET is a crucial examination that shapes the future of students. Our priority is to ensure a secure and fair environment at all centers. Any suspicious individuals will be detained immediately and dealt with as per law,” SP Damodar said.
Additional SP (AR) Ashok Babu, SB Inspector Raghavendra, CI Nagaraju (Ongole One Town), and other police personnel accompanied the SP during the inspection.
