Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu: In a heartening move that underscores the Tamil Nadu Police’s commitment to inclusive development, a first-of-its-kind Skill Development Training Centre for differently-abled women was inaugurated at Lakshmi Narasimhan Nagar, Thinnur in Hosur.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Hosur Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr. Anil Akshay Vakare and District Differently-Abled Welfare Officer Mr. Murugesan. ASP Vakare’s presence at the event highlighted the police department’s proactive support for social welfare initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities.
The new center aims to equip differently-abled women with vital skills to enhance their independence and employment opportunities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from differently-abled individuals hailing from various districts across Tamil Nadu, reflecting the wide-reaching impact of the initiative.
This collaborative effort marks a significant step toward inclusivity, with the police playing a key role not just in ensuring safety, but also in promoting social empowerment and community development.
