Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, July 2: Director General of Prisons, Andhra Pradesh, Shri Anjani Kumar, IPS, conducted an official inspection of the Anakapalli Sub-Jail today, reviewing its facilities, security arrangements, and overall functioning.
On his arrival, District Superintendent of Police Shri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, extended a warm welcome to the DGP with a symbolic and eco-friendly gesture—a flowering plant, reflecting the police department’s commitment to sustainability and courtesy.
Accompanied by Coastal Andhra Prisons DIG Shri M.R. Ravikiran Reddy, the DGP interacted with jail officials and inspected key areas within the premises. He reviewed the existing security protocols and administrative setup, offering valuable suggestions to enhance transparency, hygiene, and infrastructure within the prison system.
The visit underscores the State Prisons Department’s ongoing efforts to improve correctional facilities through modernization, humane administration, and inter-departmental cooperation.
Also present during the visit were senior officers including Shri N. Venugopal Reddy, Shri D. Raju, Sub-Jail Superintendent Kiran Kumar, Anakapalli Sub-Division DSP Smt. M. Sravani, and Inspectors Vijaya Kumar, Venkata Narayana, and Swaminaidu, along with other police and jail staff.
This inspection reflects the leadership’s proactive approach to ensuring that prison facilities align with safety, reformative goals, and administrative excellence.
