Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, July 4: In a concerted effort to curb crime and crack down on anti-social elements, the Srikakulam District Police conducted an extensive cordon and search operation early Friday morning in key areas of the city.
Acting on the directions of District Superintendent of Police Shri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, the operation was led by CI Eswara Rao of Srikakulam 2nd Town Police Station, along with his team, focusing on Choudhary Satyanarayana Colony.
Police personnel carried out thorough checks for illegal substances such as ganja, illicit liquor, and unauthorized stockpiles, and conducted surprise inspections to identify suspicious individuals and unknown persons in the area. Residences of known offenders were also searched as part of preventive surveillance.
Simultaneously, JR Puram and Sabbavaram Police Station teams conducted similar operations in several villages within their jurisdictions. During these efforts, 19 two-wheelers without valid documents were seized by the JR Puram police.
These operations reflect the Srikakulam Police’s commitment to ensuring public safety, preventing crime, and maintaining law and order through sustained and strategic enforcement actions.
