Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, July 12: In a strong step toward empowering women and ensuring their safety, the Srikakulam District Police, under the leadership of SP Sri K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, have launched an extensive awareness campaign across villages and towns in the district as part of the ‘Nari Shakti’ initiative.
As per the SP’s directives, teams from Srikakulam Two Town Police and Mandasa Police are actively conducting awareness programs focused on:
- Women’s safety and legal rights
- Importance and benefits of the Shakti mobile app
- Preventing harassment on social media and cyber frauds
- Spreading awareness against child marriages
These efforts aim to equip women and girls with essential knowledge and tools to protect themselves, while also encouraging community participation in creating a safer and more informed society.
The campaign reflects Srikakulam Police’s continued commitment to safeguarding women, fostering digital awareness, and promoting proactive community policing.
