Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, July 25, 2025: Reaffirming its commitment to a drug-free Madhya Pradesh, the Narcotics Wing of the Madhya Pradesh Police organized a powerful public awareness program under the statewide campaign “Drug Se Doori, Hai Zaroori” at Subhash Utkrishta Vidyalaya, Shivaji Nagar, Habibganj, Bhopal.
This impactful initiative was conducted under the Nasha Mukti Jan Jagruti Abhiyan on the directions of Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, with the guidance of Additional Director General of Police (Narcotics) Shri K.P. Venkateshwar Rao, and the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Narcotics) Shri Mahesh Chand Jain.
The program aimed to sensitize young students about the rising menace of drug abuse and its devastating consequences on individuals, families, and society. Officers from the Narcotics Wing addressed the gathering of over 200 students, providing insightful information on how drug addiction destroys lives, and urging the youth to take a strong stand against substance abuse.
Students were encouraged to become ambassadors of a drug-free India, beginning with a commitment to keep Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh free from narcotics. The session concluded with students taking a collective oath to stay away from drugs and spread the message of healthy, responsible living among their peers.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, school faculty, and police officials alike, marking it as a significant step toward community-level transformation.
School Principal Dr. Sudhir Parashar, Inspector Madhu Bala Rathore, Inspector Balram Raghuvanshi, R. Rituraj, and R. Shailendra Chauhan were present during the event and extended their full support to the campaign.
