Amritsar, Punjab: Director General of Police, Punjab, today chaired a comprehensive Law & Order Review Meeting in Amritsar with senior officers of the Commissionerate Police Amritsar, Border Range Police, and district units including Amritsar Rural, Batala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, and Tarn Taran.
The meeting focused on counter-terrorism strategies, dismantling organized crime networks, and addressing emerging law and order challenges across the region. With the upcoming festive season in view, the DGP directed police units to adopt proactive policing, strengthen intelligence coordination, and ensure the safety and security of all citizens.
Senior officers present included ADGP AGTF, ADGP Counter Intelligence, AIG SSOC Amritsar, CP Amritsar, DIG Border Range, and SSPs of the concerned districts. The officers shared updates on operational preparedness, joint action plans, and community engagement measures to maintain peace and public confidence.
The DGP instructed all field units to remain on **high alert, intensify visible policing, and ensure seamless coordination** between various wings of the force. He stressed the importance of community-friendly policing and timely intelligence sharing to prevent any untoward incidents.
Reaffirming the department’s commitment, the DGP stated that Punjab Police will continue to safeguard peace, harmony, and the well-being of citizens with zero tolerance towards crime and terrorism.
