Serchhip, Mizoram, October 1, 2025: The Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 7th Batch of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) trainees was held today at the Parade Ground, Police Training School (PTS), Thenzawl in Serchhip District The ceremony began at 10:00 AM and was graced by Pi Meghna Yadav, IPS, IGP (Training) as the Chief Guest.
On arrival, the Chief Guest received a General Salute (Salami Shastra) followed by an inspection of the parade. Families and friends of the trainees attended the event to witness this proud moment. The Principal, PTS, Pu Lalthakima, MPS, administered the oath-taking ceremony, reminding the trainees of their commitment to discipline, integrity, and dedication in service.
Chief Guest Address
In her address, IGP Meghna Yadav congratulated the trainees for successfully completing their training and urged them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism. She highlighted the crucial role of ministerial officers in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and accountability within the police department.

Parade & Pipping Ceremony
The March Past showcased the discipline, precision, and smart turnout of the trainees. The ceremony concluded with the Pipping Ceremony, where family members placed stars on the shoulders of the successful trainees, marking their formal induction into service.
Training Overview
The ASI (M) Basic Course, 2025, commenced on 1st July 2025 with 20 trainees, of which 18 successfully completed the rigorous 3-month program. The training included:
* Outdoor sessions (61 days), covering Physical Training, Drill, and Weapons, with daily schedules from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
* Indoor sessions (16 subjects) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, covering criminal laws, Mizoram Police Act and Manual, Civil Service rules, financial procedures, pension, taxation, and more.
The successful completion of the course reflects the trainees’ dedication and the Police Training School’s commitment to preparing officers ready to serve with professionalism and integrity.
