Kozhikode, Kerala, October 18, 2025: The Nadakkavu Police have arrested Javed Khan (23), a native of Karanthur, Kundamangalam, belonging to a Kashmiri family, for committing theft at a software development company in Erangipalam.
The accused had stolen laptops, a wireless camera, and a laptop bag from FIXAIL Pvt. Ltd., a software firm located in Erangipalam. Acting swiftly on the complaint of the company owner, Nadakkavu Police registered a case and launched an intensive investigation.
Through scientific methods, including analysis of CCTV footage from the premises and nearby areas, and technical assistance from the Cyber Cell, the accused was successfully traced and taken into custody.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Inspector Prajeesh, with the active participation of SI Leela, Jackson Joy, SCPOs Srirag and Ragesh, and City Crime Squad members Hadil Kunnummal, Shafi Parambath, Jinesh Choolur, Shaheer Perumanna, Rakesh Chaitanyam, along with Cyber Cell CPO Prajith.
Further investigation revealed that Javed Khan is a repeat offender, with previous cases of theft and POCSO registered at Kozhikode Town and Medical College Police Stations. He was out on bail in connection with another theft involving laptops and cash from a residence in Kovoor.
After completing formal procedures, the accused was produced before the court.
