Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, November 2: The grand Teppotsavam (Float Festival) of Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple, Arasavilli, held in the sacred Indra Pushkarini on Sunday evening, concluded peacefully and with great devotion amidst a strong and well-coordinated police presence.
Anticipating the large gathering of devotees from across the district, the Srikakulam Sub-Division Police implemented meticulous security and crowd management measures to ensure smooth conduct of the event and prevent any untoward incidents.
Under the special instructions of District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, the entire security operation was effectively supervised by Srikakulam Town DSP Sri Ch. Vivekananda, along with circle inspectors, sub-inspectors, and police personnel from various police stations.
To ensure public convenience and safety, special teams were deployed to manage queue lines, regulate traffic flow, oversee parking arrangements, and coordinate the orderly movement of devotees. In close coordination with other departments, barricades were erected around the four sides of Indra Pushkarini, and trained swimmers were positioned to respond swiftly to any emergencies, thereby ensuring the festival proceeded without any disturbances.
Similarly, the Teppotsavam at Srikurmam Sri Kurmanatha Swamy Temple in Gara Mandal was also conducted peacefully under the supervision of Armed Reserve DSP Sri Sheshadri.
At the conclusion of the events, District SP Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, commended the police officers and personnel for their effective crowd management, coordination, and service to the devotees. He also thanked the public for their cooperation, which contributed to the peaceful and devotional atmosphere at both temple venues.
