Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu, November 4, 2025: Trichy Range Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shri K. Joshi Nirmal Kumar, IPS, conducted the annual inspection of the Thiruvarur District Armed Reserve Police today.
During the inspection, the DIG examined the uniforms, equipment, and vehicles used by the Armed Reserve personnel in the district. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, proper upkeep of vehicles, and adherence to safety measures.
He advised that all two-wheeler riders should compulsorily wear helmets, four-wheeler occupants should use seat belts, and vehicles should be operated at safe speeds. He also directed the police personnel to ensure that patrol vehicles are kept in good condition by promptly attending to any repairs and maintenance needs.
The DIG interacted with officers and personnel, heard their grievances, and received petitions for necessary action. He also inspected the maintenance of the weapons armory, verified records, and offered suggestions for efficient management and documentation. Thiruvarur District Superintendent of Police, Shri Karun Karat, IPS, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Armed Reserve, Shri M. Srinivasan, were present during the inspection.
