Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, November 8: In line with the vision of ensuring safer roads and preventing accidents, District Superintendent of Police, Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, directed all police units across the district to conduct extensive vehicle inspections and awareness programs on road safety as part of Visible Policing initiatives.
Acting upon these instructions, police officers and staff from various police stations across Srikakulam district carried out comprehensive vehicle checks on Saturday. During the inspections, motorists were educated on essential traffic regulations, helmet and seatbelt compliance, speed control, and avoidance of mobile phone use while driving.
The SP emphasized that strict enforcement combined with continuous public awareness is vital for reducing road accidents and saving lives. He urged vehicle owners and drivers to adhere to safety norms and cooperate with the police during inspections.
The ongoing awareness campaign underlines the District Police’s commitment to proactive policing, citizen safety, and accident prevention through community engagement and disciplined road behavior.
