Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, November 10: In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity, fellow Home Guards of Srikakulam district voluntarily contributed their one-day honorary salary to support recently retired Home Guard Tirupati Rao, raising a total amount of ₹4.11 lakh.
The financial assistance cheque was formally handed over by District Superintendent of Police, Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, to Home Guard Tirupati Rao at a brief ceremony held on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, District SP Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, appreciated the noble initiative of the police personnel, stating that such acts of unity and compassion strengthen the police family. He emphasized that police personnel should always stand by one another, fostering a spirit of cooperation and brotherhood.
The SP also advised retired personnel to prioritize their health and spend their post-retirement life peacefully with their families.
Administrative Officer Gopinath and RSSI Venkata Ramana were also present during the program.
