Una, Himachal Pradesh, December 6, 2025: In a strong crackdown on narcotics smuggling, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Una district successfully recovered 1.175 kilograms of charas (hashish) during a routine bus checking operation at Kuriala Mod.
Led by Inspector Sunil Kumar, the SIU team intercepted passengers Chet Ram and Tara Devi and seized the illegal contraband from their possession. Following the recovery, a case has been registered against both individuals under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply network.
The decisive action by the SIU Una demonstrates the district police’s firm commitment towards preventing drug trafficking and safeguarding the youth from narcotics abuse.
