Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu: As part of ongoing efforts to create a drug-free society, the Chengalpattu District Police organized a special drug awareness program at Balur Adi Dravidar Government Higher Secondary School. The initiative was held on the instructions of the Chengalpattu District Superintendent of Police.
The program was led by Prohibition Enforcement Unit (PEW) Inspector Jayakumar, who conducted a painting competition for students on the theme “The Dangers of Drugs to Human Life.” During the event, the Inspector addressed the students, highlighting the harmful effects of drugs and encouraging them to stay away from addiction and spread awareness among their peers.
As a gesture of encouragement, all participating students were given pens, pencils, and tin boxes.
The event was attended by PEW Assistant Inspector Mugan, Station Clerk Venkatesan, Head Constable Rajesh, Balasubramanian, and the school’s Headmaster Kamaraj, along with over 200 students.
The Chengalpattu District Police reiterated their commitment to protecting youth and strengthening anti-drug awareness across the district.
