Fatehabad, Haryana, December 29: In one of the most comprehensive law enforcement drives undertaken in the district, the Fatehabad Police have achieved remarkable success through Operation Hotspot Domination, a special campaign aimed at creating a crime-free environment and dismantling drug trafficking networks.
Launched under the guidance of Director General of Police Shri O.P. Singh, IPS, and led by Superintendent of Police Shri Siddhant Jain, IPS, the operation has significantly strengthened law and order across the district. Through intensified patrolling, raids, and surprise interceptions, police teams closely monitored 589 identified hotspot areas, including urban localities, rural belts, markets, and drug-prone pockets.
As part of the sustained crackdown, special teams from all police stations and units carried out continuous combing operations, successfully curbing suspicious activities and mounting strong pressure on criminal elements.
Massive Arrests and Recoveries
So far, 157 accused have been arrested, and substantial seizures have been made, reflecting the effectiveness of the operation. The recoveries include:
* 6,245 narcotic pills
* 2.706 kg opium
* 486 grams heroin
* 49.480 kg poppy husk
* 1.412 kg cannabis
* 71 bottles of illicit liquor and 430 litres of fermented wash
* ₹66,630 in cash
Strong Action Against Violent and Organized Crime
Beyond narcotics, Fatehabad Police launched decisive action against violent and organized criminals. As part of this effort:
* 53 absconding accused were arrested
* Properties of 7 accused were attached
* LOCs were issued against 8 individuals
* Proposals for cancellation of passports of 9 accused were sent
Inter-State Coordination Strengthened
To curb inter-state criminal activity, Fatehabad Police shared critical intelligence with other states regarding 94 suspected individuals, enabling coordinated and swift action beyond district boundaries.
Police with a Human Touch
Alongside strict enforcement, the operation also reflected the police’s humanitarian approach, with assistance extended to 473 needy individuals during the campaign.
Speaking on the success of the operation, SP Siddhant Jain, IPS, stated that maintaining strict control over crime remains the top priority and that Operation Hotspot Domination will continue with full intensity to ensure lasting peace and safety for the people of Fatehabad.
The operation stands as a strong testament to proactive, people-centric policing, reinforcing public confidence and delivering a clear message that crime will not be tolerated.
