Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: The Srikakulam District Police have intensified public awareness campaigns focusing on women’s safety, cybercrime prevention, anti-narcotics awareness, and road safety under the leadership of SP K. V. Maheshwara Reddy.
As part of this initiative, the police are actively implementing the “Nari Shakti” programme across villages and towns, with a strong emphasis on empowering women and ensuring their safety. Awareness sessions include guidance on the use and benefits of the Shakti App, precautions against social media harassment, and steps to prevent cyber fraud and child marriages.
In parallel, the “Sankalpam” programme is being conducted to educate the public on the harmful effects of narcotics, the importance of vigilance against cybercrimes, and adherence to road safety measures.
These initiatives reflect the police department’s proactive approach towards building a safer, informed, and responsible society, encouraging community participation in maintaining law and order.
