Davangere, Karnataka: District police achieved a major breakthrough by arresting a five-member gang involved in robbing a युवक after luring him to the outskirts of the city through a woman known to him for a few days. According to police, the gang allegedly attacked the victim and fled after stealing gold ornaments. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Davangere Rural Police conducted an investigation and arrested the accused identified as Panchami alias Pooja alias Sameena (29), Suresh (34), Jagadish (35), Ganga alias Mallesh Nayak (25), and Venkatesh (30). During the operation, police seized stolen property worth approximately ₹18.80 lakh from the accused. The successful detection of the case highlights the prompt action and effective investigation carried out by the district police.
