Udupi, Karnataka: Hebri Police in Udupi district successfully cracked a major house burglary case and arrested three interstate thieves involved in a high-value theft at Anantnagar, Hebri. The accused allegedly broke into a residence during the night on May 25, 2026, and stole gold and silver ornaments worth nearly ₹60 lakh while the family was asleep.
A special police team led by senior officers conducted a detailed investigation and arrested the three accused. During the operation, police recovered gold bars, silver ornaments, and an Alto car, with the total value of seized property exceeding ₹41 lakh.
The accused are reportedly involved in several criminal cases, including extortion, murder, assault, and drug-related offences across Karnataka and Kerala. Police have launched a search for another absconding suspect connected to the case.
