Banda, Uttar Pradesh: Demonstrating a zero-tolerance approach toward fraud, Banda Police successfully arrested an accused involved in a job scam that targeted people seeking employment opportunities in the Anganwadi sector.
The accused allegedly deceived victims by falsely promising appointments to Supervisor posts in the Anganwadi Department. To gain their trust, he reportedly posed as a department official and collected money from job seekers under the pretext of securing employment.
During the investigation, police uncovered the fraudulent method used by the accused, who directed victims to transfer money through a jeweler’s QR code instead of his own account. The funds were then allegedly used to purchase jewelry, which was later sold at discounted rates.
Police recovered ₹1 lakh in cash obtained through the fraud and arrested the accused. The swift action highlights the commitment of Banda Police to protecting citizens from financial scams and ensuring that those who exploit the public are brought to justice.
