Diburgarh, Assam: In a significant breakthrough, the Lahowal Police Station team successfully solved a burglary case through a swift cross-district operation, leading to the arrest of the accused from Dhemaji district.
According to police sources, acting on intelligence inputs and sustained investigation, the Lahowal Police team traced the suspect’s whereabouts and apprehended him during a coordinated operation conducted outside the district. The accused is believed to be involved in a burglary in which several gold ornaments were stolen.
During the operation, police recovered the stolen valuables, including gold bangles, earrings and a finger ring. The vehicle allegedly used in the commission of the crime was also seized as part of the investigation.
Police officials stated that the prompt recovery of the stolen property and the arrest of the accused reflect the effectiveness of coordinated policing and timely investigative efforts.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ascertain whether the accused has links to other similar incidents. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
The successful operation has been appreciated as another example of the commitment of Assam Police towards maintaining law and order and ensuring justice for victims of crime.
