Medchal-Malkajgiri, Telangana: The 5th Telangana Police Games & Sports Meet – 2026 (Cluster-A) concluded successfully in Malkajgiri, showcasing the athletic excellence, discipline, and team spirit of police personnel from across the state.
Hosted by the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate at the Indoor Stadium, Saroornagar, the two-day sporting event brought together 831 police personnel, including 683 men and 148 women, representing 21 police units from Telangana. Participants competed enthusiastically in 14 indoor sporting disciplines, demonstrating remarkable fitness, determination, and sportsmanship.
The Hyderabad Police Commissionerate emerged as the overall champion by securing 140 medals, while TGSP-II claimed the second position with 58 medals. The Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate finished third, also winning 58 medals, reflecting the high standard of competition among the participating units.
Beyond medals and rankings, the event highlighted the Telangana Police’s emphasis on physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and professional excellence. It also served as an important platform for identifying talented athletes who will represent the state in future National Police Games.
The successful conduct of the sports meet reinforces the Telangana Police’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, boosting morale, and encouraging camaraderie among personnel.
