Amreli, Gujarat: In a successful anti-narcotics operation, the Amreli Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested an accused and seized 5.003 kilograms of dried ganja along with other valuables during a patrolling operation in Rajula Town.
Acting on suspicion while conducting routine patrols, the police searched a residential house where they recovered the contraband. In addition to the ganja, officers seized cash and other valuables, with the total value of the recovered property estimated at ₹2,50,650.
The accused was taken into custody, and legal proceedings were initiated under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. The seizure has dealt a significant blow to the illegal narcotics trade in the area and reflects the police department’s continued commitment to curbing drug-related offences.
The successful operation highlights the vigilance and proactive policing of the Amreli SOG. Through regular patrolling, intelligence-based enforcement, and decisive action against drug traffickers, the police continue to safeguard communities and work towards creating a drug-free society.
