Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: In a proud moment for the Madhya Pradesh Police, seven State Police Service officers were formally invested with the Indian Police Service (IPS) rank by Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana at the Police Headquarters in Bhopal.
The officers were appointed to the Indian Police Service (Madhya Pradesh Cadre) under the IPS Select List-2025, following approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. During the investiture ceremony, the DGP congratulated the officers and described their elevation as a recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service in maintaining law and order across the state.
Encouraging the newly inducted IPS officers to lead with integrity, discipline, and commitment, Shri Makwana emphasized that their work and conduct should inspire fellow officers and police personnel. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to recognizing deserving officers through timely career advancement.
The officers invested with the IPS rank are Smt. Nimisha Pandey, Shri Malay Jain, Shri Amit Saxena, Smt. Manisha Pathak Soni, Smt. Suman Gurjar, Shri Sabyasachi Saraf, and Shri Samar Verma. They will undergo a one-year probation period and prescribed induction training as per the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954.
The ceremony marked an important milestone in the officers’ careers and highlighted the Madhya Pradesh Police’s commitment to recognizing merit, strengthening leadership, and building a capable and professional police force.
