Ernakulam Rural, Kerala: Strengthening leadership and improving police station administration, the Ernakulam Rural Police organized a specialized training programme for Sub-Inspectors as part of the reorganization of the Inspector SHO system.
The training session was conducted by South Zone Inspector General Mr. Spurgeon Kumar, who shared valuable insights on effective police station management, leadership, and modern policing practices with the participating officers.
The programme, led by Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief K.S. Sudarshan, IPS, aims to equip Sub-Inspectors with the knowledge and skills required to efficiently discharge the responsibilities of Station House Officers (SHOs). The initiative focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, public service delivery, and professional standards within police stations.
Such capacity-building programmes reflect the Kerala Police’s commitment to continuous professional development, effective leadership, and citizen-centric policing.
