Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Ahead of the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport on August 1, the Andhra Pradesh Police have put in place extensive security arrangements to ensure the safe and smooth visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Director General of Police Shri Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, personally inspected the security preparations at the venue and reviewed field-level arrangements. The DGP visited the airport terminal, trumpet interchange, assembly venue, VIP and public parking areas, and other key locations, issuing important directions on traffic management, anti-sabotage checks, access control, and seamless coordination with the Special Protection Group (SPG) and other security agencies.
Senior police officers, including Extra DGP N. Madhusudana Reddy, Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankubrata Bagchi, Visakhapatanam Range IG Gopinath Jatti, IG K. Srikanth, EAGLE IG A.K. Ravikrishna, DIGs, SPs, Additional SPs, DSPs, Circle Inspectors, Station House Officers, and other personnel, participated in the comprehensive security review.
