Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: Acting on a tip-off regarding the possession of items obtained through poaching—such as deer antlers and pangolin parts—a Forest Department team led by Kannivadi Forest Range Officer Kumaresan conducted surveillance near Dharumathupatti in Dindigul district. During a search of the residence of Ramarajan (37) from the D. Kombai area of Dharumathupatti, officials discovered an air gun, pangolin scales, deer antlers, and small logs of black ebony and sandalwood hidden in the house. Consequently, the Forest Department seized these items and arrested Ramarajan.
