Dindugal, Tamil Nadu: Palani Police have achieved a major success in a special enforcement drive, seizing 88 kg of banned tobacco products that had allegedly been stockpiled for illegal sale in the V.K. Mills area of Neikkarapatti near Polamavalasu, Dindigul district.
A police team led by Palani Taluk Inspector Sathiyamoorthy, along with Sub-Inspectors Rajkumar and Anand, conducted the operation and arrested two persons in connection with the illegal storage.
Police seized 14 kg of banned tobacco products from Peer Mohamed (42) and 74 kg from Ahmed Ali (50), both associated with the Polamavalasu area.
The successful operation highlights the Palani Police’s proactive enforcement against the illegal sale and distribution of banned tobacco products, helping safeguard public health and maintain law and order.
