Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: A video showing the illicit sale of liquor from a house near Palani went viral on social media. Upon learning of this, Dindigul District Superintendent of Police Jayakumar ordered immediate action. Acting on his instructions, a police team led by DSP Devaraj—including Inspector Sathyamurthy and Sub-Inspector Anand—visited the location and conducted an inquiry. Subsequently, the police surrounded and arrested the woman accused of selling liquor illegally from her home. They are also investigating whether a stock of liquor was being hoarded at the premises. The public has commended the police for taking swift action based on the video circulated on social media.
